The Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina was established in 2003 as an independent administrative organization in framework of the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.  Its competences are laid down in Article 6 of the Law on the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (''Official Gazette BiH'', Nos.21/03 and 43/09).
