According to data of the Federal Employment Service, Employment Service of Republika Srpska and Employment Service of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 516,172 persons were registered as unemployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina on 31 July 2010 which is an increase of 4,389 persons or 0.86% on 30 June 2010. |

UNEMPLOYMENT OF WOMEN |
|
Women make up 50.37% (259,977 persons) in the total number of job seekers. In comparison to the previous month, the number of unemployed women has grown by 0.93% or 2,407 persons. 132,480 women or 50.96% of the total number of registered unemployed women in BiH are first-time job seekers. |

REGISTERED UNEMPLOYMENT BY QUALIFICATIONS |

According to data of 31 July 2010, the largest share in registered unemployment in BiH was made up of persons with completed three-year VET schools (skilled labour force – 183,407 or 35.53%) and unskilled labour force (160,287 or 31.05%). Persons with higher educational attainment (university and higher non-university education) constituted 5.48% (28,288 persons) of the total registered unemployment. |

In accordance with current laws, 11,935 persons or 2.31% of the total number of registered unemployed received unemployment benefit in July 2010.
Entitlement to health care was realized by 339,920 persons or 65.85% of the total registered unemployment in BiH. |
