The Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues to strengthen its partnership with civil society by signing new Memoranda of Cooperation with four organisations from Bosnia and Herzegovina.  By signing these Memoranda, the Agency further reaffirms its commitment to building strong partnerships with civil society organisations, with the shared objective of improving the labour market and expanding employment opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On behalf of the Agency, the Memoranda of Cooperation were signed by Ivan Barbalić, Director. The signing ceremony was also attended by Husein Terzić, the Agency’s Coordinator for Cooperation with the Civil Society Sector. The new Memoranda of Cooperation were signed with the following organisations:

  • Centre of Women's Rights

  • Centre for Promotion of Civil Society in BiH

  • Association of Paraplegics and Other Persons with Disabilities of Gračanica

  • Your Rights Bosnia and Herzegovina

The signing of the Memoranda has laid an additional foundation for joint action in the fields of employment, human capital development, enhancing employability, supporting vulnerable population groups, exchanging knowledge and experience, and preparing and implementing joint projects of importance to the labour market of Bosnia and Herzegovina.  By continuously expanding its network of partners, the Agency reaffirms that a well-functioning labour market requires the active engagement of all relevant stakeholders – public institutions, employers, the education sector, and civil society organizations. The non-governmental sector is a key partner in advancing inclusive employment policies, developing innovative programmes, and supporting people facing challenges in accessing employment. With more than 40 Memoranda of Cooperation signed to date with civil society organisations across Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Agency has established one of the most significant partnership networks in the field of employment and labour market development. The Agency will continue to expand this network, develop new forms of cooperation and work together with its partners to create better employment opportunities for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
