Overview of Labour Market Situation as of 30 June 2017

The number of persons registered as unemployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina as of 30 June 2017 amounted to 485,888. Compared to the previous month, unemployment decreased by 1,517 persons or 0.31%.
Unemployment decreased in the Federation of BiH by 662 persons (0.19%) in Republika Srpska by 832 persons (0.69%) and in Brčko District of BiH by 42 persons (0.37%).
The structure of job seekers as of 30 June 2017 by educational level was as follows:
132,325 unskilled workers (27.23%),
8,310 semi-skilled workers (1.71%),
160,316 skilled workers (32.99%),
2,391 highly skilled workers (0.49%),
1,252 workers with primary education (0.26%),
135,281 persons with secondary education (27.84%),
6,739 persons with two-year post-secondary education (1.39%) and
39,274 persons with university education (8.08%).
The largest share in registered unemployment continues to be made up of persons with third level of education: skilled workers (32.99%) and workers with secondary education (27.84%).
The total outflow from unemployment registers in June amounted to 17,991 persons, out of which 11,809 persons due to employment.
At the same time, there were 6,944 persons whose employment terminated and 5,063 vacancies notified by employers.
