On 30 September 2015 539,703 persons were registered as unemployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As compared to the previous month, the number of the unemployed was down by 1,183 persons or 0.22%.

Unemployment was down in the Federation of BiH by 378 persons (0.10%), in Republika Srpska by 718 persons (0.52%) and in Brčko District BiH by 87 persons (0.73%).

In occupational structure of job seekers as on 30 September 2015 there were 143,147 unskilled workers or 26.52%, 9,526 semi-skilled workers or 1.77%, 182,834 skilled workers or 33.88%, 2,934 highly skilled workers or 0.54%, 1,491 workers with primary education or 0.28%, 149,552 with secondary education or 27.71%, 7,352 with higher non-university education or 1.36% and 42,867 with university education or 7.94%.

The largest share in registered unemployment is still made up of persons with third level of education – skilled workers with 33.88% and workers with secondary education 27.71%.

The total outflow from PES registers in September amounted to 16,935 persons.

At the same time, there were 5,925 persons whose employment terminated while employers registered with PES 4,893 vacancies in this period.

According to data of the BiH Agency for Statistics, in August 2015 the number of persons in paid employment in legal entities in BiH amounted to 712,561 persons, out of which 293,357 were women. As compared to July 2015, the total number of persons in paid employment in legal entities was down by 0.2%.

Registered unemployment rate in August 2015 was 43.2%. As compared to July 2015 it was same.
