On 30 November 2014 547,319 persons were registered as unemployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As compared to the previous month, the number of the unemployed was down by 271 persons or 0.05%.

Unemployment was increased in the Federation of BiH by 29 persons (0.01%), but was down in Republika Srpska by 252 persons (0.18%) and Brčko District BiH by 48 persons (0.40%).

In occupational structure of job seekers as on 30 November 2014 there were 148,471 unskilled workers or 27.13%, 10,081 semi-skilled workers or 1.84%, 188,597 skilled workers or 34.46%, 3,181 highly skilled workers or 0.58%, 1,568 workers with primary education or 0.29%, 147,256 with secondary education or 26.90%, 7,523 with higher non-university education or 1.37% and 40,642 with university education or 7.43%.

The largest share in registered unemployment is still made up of persons with third level of education – skilled workers with 34.46% and unskilled workers with 27.13%.

The total outflow from PES registers in November amounted to 13,840 persons, out of which 7,702 persons were employed.

At the same time, there were 6,011 persons whose employment terminated while employers registered with PES 2,637 vacancies in this period.

According to data of the BiH Agency for Statistics, in October 2014 the number of persons in paid employment in legal entities in BiH amounted to 707,146 persons, out of which 291,121 were women. As compared to September 2014, the total number of persons in paid employment in legal entities was increased by 0.2%.

Registered unemployment rate in October 2014 was 43.6%. As compared to September 2014 it was down by 0.1 percentage points.
