The Agency for Work and Employment of Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in the Summer School program entitled "Accession Negotiations of Bosnia and Herzegovina for EU Membership", organized by the Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), from July 21 to 24, 2026.

As part of Module 4, dedicated to the legal framework and the EU acquis in the field of employment of foreign workers and migration, Agency representatives Zvjezdana Jelić and Sanela Mešanović delivered a lecture on the Roadmap for the Employment of Foreign Workers in Bosnia and Herzegovina—a document developed by the Agency in cooperation with IOM—alongside providing insights into other activities and trends concerning the labor market, labor migration, and European integration.

During the lecture, students from public law faculties had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the institutional and legal framework governing the employment of foreign workers in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the challenges of labor migration management, and the process of aligning domestic policies and legislation with European Union standards.

Connecting the academic community with institutions involved in public policy creation and implementation is of utmost importance for educating future lawyers and experts who will participate in the EU accession process of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Agency remains committed to cooperating with academic institutions and international partners to strengthen knowledge and capacities in the fields of labor, employment, and migration.
