Given the increased number of advertisements for job vacancies abroad and a certain number of job scams detected in placement to jobs of BiH nationals abroad when individuals were required to pay fees, the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina wishes to warn the citizens to use caution when applying for job positions offered abroad.

We would like to inform the citizens that the usual job placement practice requires from job placement agencies to charge for their placement services employers which are looking for manpower and not jobseekers.  Besides, we inform the citizens that job placement services cannot be provided by natural persons and that any fee paid to a private bank account clearly points to a fraud.  Therefore, citizens are kindly requested to report any such case to responsible police administration.

We remind that the only correct procedure in job placement is for worker to sign a work contract with employer which is followed by a work permit application made by employer supported by work contract and other documents.  On the basis of issued work permit, the worker applies for work visa in the embassy of his/her destination country supporting his/her application with a passport copy and other required documents.
