Continuation of activities under the Triple Win Project in 2016



Interested candidates are hereby notified that the implementation of the Triple Win Project – sustainable recruitment of nurses from BiH in Germany will continue in 2016.   The Triple Win Project has been jointly implemented by the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, entity employment services and the Employment Service of the Brčko District of BiH, in partnership with the German Federal Employment Agency and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) under the Arrangement on Mediation in Fixed-term Employment of Workers from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Federal Republic of Germany.  

The aim of the project is to train nurses from Bosnia and Herzegovina and ensure their employment in Germany thus making it possible to all three sides involved to benefit from the project: employers, individuals who have taken employment and, of course, the country of origin.  In cooperation with the Goethe Institute, GIZ provides support to the candidates who lack adequate German skills in attending German courses, provided they have successfully passed the preliminary interview. 

The candidates who meet the necessary requirements undergo the hiring procedure which may involve interviews with employers before taking employment.  The work contracts signed with employers are then approved by the German Federal Employment Agency and the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.  This procedure guarantees job security and the exercise of all rights. 

The workers who have taken employment in Germany must have their diplomas recognized within one year in order to remain in employment.  Successful recognition of diploma guarantees an open-ended work contract and extension of residence permit for several years after which unlimited residence in Germany may be granted.  The acquisition of permanent residence closes the cycle which started at the moment of submitting the first job application in BiH thus providing security and stable employment to former unemployed citizens of BiH.  161 workers from Bosnia and Herzegovina have been hired under this project since May 2013 and additional 40 are currently undergoing recruitment process.      

In this respect, we would like to notify the interested candidates that the next interview under the Triple Win Project will be held in the second half of February 2016.  Interested candidates can submit their applications in the local labour offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina.  The public call and all related documents can be downloaded here.
