A
delegation of the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and
Herzegovina, led by Director Ivan Barbalić was
on a working visit to the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) on 23-24
October 2024. On that occasion, Directors Ivan Barbalić and Samet
Güneş signed a Protocol of Cooperation which outlines the development of
a study focused on the activities of inter-institutional
cooperation. During the signing ceremony, amicable relations between
the two countries, along with the need to enhance the
inter-institutional cooperation in various fields, including the field
of labour market, were stressed. The signing ceremony was also
attended by the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of
Türkiye, Ms. Mirsada Čolaković.
The
signing of Protocol was followed by a meeting with, Mr. Engin Akyolo,
Deputy General Director of İŞKUR
during which information was exchanged on the labour markets of the two
countries, ongoing projects and activities, the services provided by
both institutions and planned activities.
On
the second day of the visit, the delegation of the Labour and
Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina
paid a visit to the Sincan Service Centre and the business club to learn
firsthand about the services offered by İŞKUR and obtain detailed
information about the operation of the Centre. The visit concluded with
consultations aimed at enhancing the cooperation
between the institutions and building a roadmap for the upcoming
activities.
