Director Barbalić meets with Director of Sarajevo Canton Employment Service



Director of the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ivan Barbalić, met today with Acting Director of the Sarajevo Canton Employment Service, Tamara Jakupović.

They talked about the cooperation of the two institutions and the current labour market situation and forecasts.  They also discussed the labour market situation in the Sarajevo Canton and the programmes implemented by the Sarajevo Canton Employment Service and emphasised the good practice related to labour market research, at both local and state levels, and expressed the need to improve the monitoring of shortage occupations demanded in the labour market.  They also underlined the need to relieve public employment services from administering the health insurance for the unemployed in order to improve the counselling services for active job seekers.
