Meeting held between Directors of Labour and Employment Agency of BiH and Employment Service of Slovenia



Delegations of the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Employment Service of Slovenia met in Ljubljana today. 

The meeting was held to strengthen the partnership between the two institutions, facilitate the exchange of information, and enhance cooperation in the fields of employment and labour mobility.

Special attention was given to the following:

the implementation of the Employment Agreement, with a focus on the current state, the identified challenges, and opportunities for its improvement,

the methods of promoting and disseminating the model of institutional cooperation and the implementation of the Employment Agreement undertaken by the two institutions, and

the upcoming WAPES (World Association of Public Employment Services) Conference in Sarajevo which, among other topics, will also showcase the results of the cooperation and the implementation of the Employment Agreement.

The meeting was hosted by Metka Barbo Škerbinc, Director of the Employment Service of Slovenia, while the delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was headed by Ivan Barbalić, Director of the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The partners declared mutual commitment to continuing and further strengthening their cooperation, particularly concerning data exchange, strengthening institutional capacities, and developing sustainable employment models, with an emphasis on legal and regulated labour mobility.
