Meeting held with Head of the Council of Europe Office



Director of the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ivan Barbalić, talked today with Bojana Urumova, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Sarajevo, about activities undertaken so far in preventing and fighting trafficking in human beings, combating human trafficking for the purpose of labour exploitation and future activities in the context of fulfilling the tasks from the Council of Europe Action Plan for Bosnia and Herzegovina 2022 – 2025.

It was concluded that the need to protect human rights, the rights of migrant workers in particular, is becoming increasingly pronounced. This is a complex problem that requires multi-sectoral approach and participation of various institutions.  It was agreed to intensify the cooperation and the sharing of information between the Council of Europe Office in Sarajevo and the Agency, both through projects and bilateral activities.
