Meeting between representatives of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH and the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH



Representatives from the Sector for Labour, Employment, Social Protection, and Pensions of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH met with the Director of the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH and his associates.

The meeting was organized with the intent to enhance cooperation between the Sector and the Agency regarding the Proposal for the annual quota of work permits for foreign nationals in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the Annual Report on the implementation of the Decision to establish the annual quota of work permits for foreign nationals in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Further discussions addressed the Plan for guidelines on labour market policies and measures in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as an initiative to commence the procedure for concluding an agreement between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Croatia concerning the employment of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Republic of Croatia and vice versa.

Among other topics, participants also discussed the Activity Programme and the Activity Report of the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH.

Emphasis was placed on the possibility of adjusting deadlines to allow for earlier submission of documents to the Sector for Labor, Employment, Social Protection and Pensions, particularly those approved by the Council of Ministers of BiH.

It was agreed that the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH would prepare an information on this meeting and disseminate it to the Entity Employment Services and the Employment Service of the Brčko District of BiH  to ensure they are informed of the topics discussed and to allow them to submit their proposals to the Agency in a timely manner, all with the purpose of adopting relevant acts within the legal time-limit.
