A delegation of the Labour and Employment BiH paid a visit to the Employment
Service of Slovenia on 6th
March 2024 and met with its representatives.
They discussed the previous cooperation in the implementation of the
agreements on recruitment of workers and unemployment insurance and
within the Centre of Public Employment Services of South East European
Countries (CPESSEC). Representatives of the Independent
Workers’ Union of Slovenia (NSDS) also shared their experience gained in
the cooperation with the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH. It was
concluded that the cooperation concerning the implementation of the
agreements on recruitment of workers and unemployment
insurance was proceeding smoothly. The existing Protocol on the
implementation of the Agreement on Social Insurance between Bosnia and
Herzegovina and the Republic of Slovenia, in the part pertinent to
unemployment needed to be improved and this activity was
in progress. It was also agreed to sign an agreement on the procedure
for the exchange of personal data between the Employment Service of
Slovenia and the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina
that treats the modality of exchange of personal
data in the implementation of the agreements on recruitment of workers
and social insurance. A proposal agreement has already been prepared in
Slovenian language and will be submitted to the Agency for
harmonization. The agreement is important in the context
of complying with EU directives on security and data protection.
