The conference “Enhancing Skills in Public Employment Services” has commenced

A two-day conference titled “Enhancing Skills in Public Employment Services – Challenges and Opportunities in a Transforming Labour Market” has commenced in Sarajevo. The conference is organized by WAPES and the Agency for Labour and Employment of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Over 100 participants from 30 different countries and more than 50 labour market institutions will, over the course of two days, discuss the challenges faced by public employment services in today’s modern labour market.

The conference will cover topics including:

• the use of analytics and data for skills planning and future occupations,

• aligning education with labour market needs,

• labour mobility and the inclusion of migrant workers,

• digitalization of public employment services,

• artificial intelligence in recruitment processes, career guidance, and career planning.
