The Protocol on the implementation of the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Serbia on Temporary Employment of the Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Republic of Serbia and the Citizens of the Republic of Serbia in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been signed today in Sarajevo.  The Protocol has been signed by Mr. Muamer Bandić, Director of the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Mr. Zoran Martinović, Director of the National Employment Service of the Republic of Serbia.

The aim of the Protocol is to enable the implementation of the existing Agreement on employment of citizens of the two countries and thus help reduce unemployment in these countries.

Director of the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH emphasized that the act of signing the Protocol is essential because it enables lawful employment of BiH citizens in the Republic of Serbia and provides an insight into labour mobility between the two countries.  Director of the National Employment Service of the Republic of Serbia said that the Agreement on employment is the first one signed by the Republic of Serbia with a country from the region and that it represents the basis for further cooperation between the two institutions.
