Representatives of the Employment Office of the Republic of Hungary visited Bosnia and Herzegovina from September 27 - 30 2011 in order to get an insight into the organization of employment institutions at all levels in BiH. 

Introduction to the Labour Market of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Representatives of the Employment Office of the Republic of Hungary visited Bosnia and Herzegovina from September 27 - 30 2011 in order to get an insight into the organization of employment institutions at all levels in BiH.

In framework of their visit, the representatives of the Employment Office of the Republic of Hungary visited the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 28 September 2011 and held a working meeting with the Agency’s representatives.  The delegation of the Employment Office of the Republic of Hungary had the opportunity of being introduced to the operation of the labour market in BiH and its entities, legislative framework in the field of employment, current state-of-play in the labour market of BiH and active and passive employment policy measures implemented by entity-level employment services and the Employment Service of the BiH Brčko District.  The delegation of the Employment Office of the Republic of Hungary visited the Federal Employment Service on the same day where they also held a working meeting.

In framework of their visit, the delegation of the Employment Office of the Republic of Hungary had the opportunity to visit cantonal employment services in the Herzegovina-Neretva and Zenica-Doboj Cantons and Employment Service of the BiH Brčko District where they were introduced to activities of respective services and possibilities of implementing active and passive labour market measures.
