Training Workshop: "Labour Migration from Recruitment to Integration“



In the last week of May, representatives of the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH participated in the three-day training workshop “Labour Migration from Recruitment to Integration” organized by the International Organisation of Migration (IOM) for all actors relevant in the process of labour migration governance under the IDF project “Strengthening Labour Migration Governance in Bosnia and Herzegovina”.

Twenty-six representatives from public and private sector and non-governmental organisations from all levels in BiH shared relevant experience and knowledge and learnt about new tools necessary for developing a comprehensive and participatory approach in providing information to foreign workers, employers and governments of countries of both origin and destination that is aligned with international standards and national legislation.  Interactive approach during the training tailored to participants’ real needs enabled identification of priorities and needs for ethical employment and integration of migrant workers.
