Director of the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH, Mr. Muamer Bandić, signed today the Protocol on Cooperation with Directors of the FBiH Employment Service, the RS Employment Service and the BD BiH Employment Service concerning statistical reporting on work permits granted to foreign nationals in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The aim of this Protocol is to enhance statistical reporting on work permits granted to foreigners in BiH in order to better monitor the approved work permit quotas, prepare annual BiH Migration Profiles and harmonize the statistics on labour migration with the Regulation (EC) No 862/2007 of the European Parliament.  The Protocol defines how to operate the database developed by the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH.  This database has been created so as to allow only those data entries that are required for reporting (excluding personal information), it requires little time for each entry and significantly shortens the reporting process.  This way of data collection ensures a satisfactory level of availability, harmonization and exchange of statistical information on labour migration, given that the authorities responsible for the issuance of work permits to foreign nationals directly enter the defined data in the common database.
