The Labour and Employment Agency of BiH draws attention to the citizens of BiH of the growing number of employment intermediaries who are giving promises of securing nursing jobs to BiH citizens in Germany and charge citizens fees for their mediation services.   In addition to this, different institutions have started to organise nursing courses promising citizens that they could take employment in Germany with certificates of such courses.

Due to all mentioned above, the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH advises citizens to bear in mind that placement of BiH citizens in nursing jobs in Germany is currently possible only through the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH because the placement procedure has been defined by the inter-state Arrangement between the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH and the German Federal Employment Agency. Thereby, applicants must meet the requirements defined by the German side and these are: possession of a certificate of completed secondary nursing school (health and nursing professional or paediatric nurse) acquired in a public institution, German knowledge at the completed level of minimum B1 and six months of profession-related work experience gained upon the acquisition of relevant certificate.  Any other placement to nursing jobs in Germany will not result in taking of employment in Germany.

Furthermore, taking and completion of training courses organised by private or other institutions outside the regular education system will not result in employment of citizens in nursing jobs in Germany.

Once again, we draw attention to the citizens of BiH that natural persons or private legal entities providing placement services may only seek fees for the services provided from employers and not the unemployed which is regulated by relevant legislation.  This is why citizens who seek assistance from private placement intermediaries are advised to request from them submission of adequate intermediary licence and to report those intermediaries who seek placement fees from the unemployed to the ministry of labour or responsible inspection authorities.
