At the invitation of the German Federal Employment Agency, a delegation of the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina visited this institution in the period 14 – 16 April 2015.

The purpose of the visit was to address some pressing issues concerning the implementation of the Arrangement on placement of medical workers from BiH in caregiver jobs in Germany, discuss further cooperation under the Triple Win Project in 2015 and 2016 and consider possibilities of negotiating an arrangement on placement of workers with occupations which are in short supply in the German labour market.

Thanks to positive impressions of German employers and the real needs of the German labour market, it has been decided to continue with the implementation of the TRIPLE WIN Project (recruitment of nurses for the German labour market) throughout 2015 and 2016, as well as recruitment of nurses in the case of named requests.

It was proposed in the meeting held between the Deputy Director of the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH, Mr. Željko Rajić, and the ZAV Director, Ms. Kae Eilers, to extend the cooperation which would allow the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH to take part in placement of persons with other qualifications which are in short supply in the German labour market, while being in excess supply in unemployment records in BiH.   The officials of the German Federal Employment Agency expressed their interest in expanding the cooperation and said that other responsible authorities in Germany would also be involved.

While in Germany, the delegation of the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH paid a visit to the Kliniken des Main Taunus Kreises GmbH in Bad Solen, which employs 14 workers from BiH.   In discussion with the Management of the clinic and the workers from BiH, representatives of the Agency were informed about development of the recruitment procedure of BiH workers in this clinic and the way some practical issues are resolved, such as accommodation, shift work, introduction to the staff, preparation for and taking of the registered nurse examination, etc.  Most importantly, all our workers are satisfied with working conditions and pay.

On the third day of the visit, the delegation met with representatives of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) to discuss future implementation of the Triple Win Project.  It was agreed that future job announcements would be posted under the Triple Win Project.  The delegation of the Agency proposed to implement an IT project in support of the implementation of the Triple Win Project.
