Advisory Board
The Advisory Board has the following responsibilities:
a) Providing opinions on the annual review of labour market policies in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
b) Providing opinions on proposals for the employment of foreign nationals (quota system);
c) Providing opinions on the Agency’s annual work programmes and annual reports;
d) Providing opinions on reports related to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s international obligations in the field of employment;
e) Advising on the Agency’s work and the Rulebook on Internal Organisation, and issuing recommendations to improve efficiency and performance;
f) Proposing initiatives and measures to enhance employment policies at the state level.
At the constitutive session of the Advisory Board of the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, held on 5 March 2026, the mandates of the appointed members of the Advisory Board were verified in accordance with Article 13 of the Law on the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and pursuant to the Decision on the Establishment of the Advisory Board (“Official Gazette of BiH”, 68/25; 73/25). The following individuals were appointed as members of the Advisory Board:
1) Ljiljana Jurak, Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina,
2) Mehmed Hadžić, a distinguished scholar in the field of employment
3) Ernis Imamović, FBiH Ministry of Labour and Social Policy
4) Andrea Milinčić, Ministry of Labour and Veterans’ and Disabled Persons’ Protection of Republika Srpska
5) Srđan Blažić, Government of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina
6) Muamer Bajraktarević, Confederation of Independent Trade Unions of Bosnia and Herzegovina
7) Suhad Ećo, Employers’ Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina
8) Branko Zelenović, Confederation of Trade Unions of Republika Srpska
9) Saša Aćić, Union of Employers of Republika Srpska
10) Predrag Marjanović, Trade Union of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina
11) Aida Ivčev, Employers' Association of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina
In addition to the above, the following persons serve on the Advisory Board ex officio: the Director and Deputy Director of the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Director of the FBiH Employment Service, the Director of the Employment Service of Republika Srpska and the Director of the Employment Service of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the constitutive meeting, the new Advisory Board was formally established, and the Rules of Procedure governing its work for the forthcoming term were adopted.
Mr. Suhad Ećo was unanimously elected Chair of the Advisory Board, and Mr. Saša Aćić was elected Deputy Chair.
